The Song of the Day...24.04.2013

Hello my dears,

You all know that I love music, but there is something that you don't know...that my hubby have the same hobby :-P.

So we try to record covers when we have time and when we are in the mood to play something, even if we don't have a recording studio.

For today I choose to post the song Please, please, please let me get what I want played by The Smiths -an English alternative rock band formed in 1982, in Manchester. The band included the vocalist Morrissey, the guitarist Johnny Marr, the drummer Mike Joyce and the bassist Andy Rourke.

The band was considered by the critics  the most important alternative British rock band and even so, they broke up in 1987 and turned down many offers to reunite.

As a bonus I post the cover of this song, played by me and my hubby. I'm sorry for the quality of the video, but..please take in consideration the fact that we tried.

Hello my dears!

Finally I have internet connection so I'm gonna try to update with your late posts and to continue writing on my blog.

For today I'm gonna present you a wonderful song played by Chris Rea and it's dedicated to my sweet little niece Julia :). She flew from Singapore to visit us, even if she has only 11 months. She is a perfect, beautiful girl, with big blue eyes and she is very curious to try everything. She changed my world, my perspective...she changed me :).

It's funny how a little person has such a strong impact!

The world goes crazy...I turned on the radio and I heard news about the end of the world. I turned on the TV and I am informed that the end of the world will be in 21.12.2012...so all of these inspired me to post a song played by REM and obviously it's name is It's The End Of The World. 

"It's The End Of the World" was released as a single in 1987 and appeared on the album Document. After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the song was placed on the list of post 9/11 inappropriate titles distributed by Clear Channel.

Hello my friends!
It's been awhile since my last post. The reason of my absence is that I have a lot of work to do before Christmas, so I hope you'll forgive me ;-).
My dears, for today I choose to present you a song that I just love it. I'm sure that you all know it, because it was played in different movies or TV shows.
The song's name is "Just like Heaven" played by one of my favorite bands...The Cure. How can you not like this band? Robert Smith has an unique and great voice and an interesting look.

"Just like Heaven " was written in 1987 in France by Robert, being inspired by a past trip to the sea shore with his future wife. It was included on the album Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me and  became The Cure's first American hit and in 1988 reached number 40 on the Bilboard charts.

I played a little bit with camera and I took this pic, in order to suits well with this post :)).

I'm sorry that  I didn't write lately on my blog, but I had a terrible and busy week and I wasn't in the mood to post anything!

It's Black Friday in my country, so I'm preparing for haunting good prices for clothes, photo camera and make- up. I'm sure that my list will change when I get in malls :-P.

I choose for today Use Somebody played by Kings of Leon, an American rock band, formed in Nashville, Tennessee.

This song reached No. 1 on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks charts.

Hello my friends!

I heard in a TV dancing contest the song of the day, which ,in my opinion, is brilliant.

I don't know if you will like it...maybe I'm so impressed because I saw a couple dancing tango on Mil Pasos. Yes..this is the title of the song.

Mil Pasos is played by Soha, a French- Algerian singer who mingle jazz with soul, blues and latino- american music. It's something different, it's very original.

Unfortunately, Soha doesn't have a clip yet, but I hope this is not a problem for the music' lovers.

Escuché en un concurso de baile en televisión la canción del día, lo que, en mi opinión, es brillante.

No sé si te gustará ... tal vez estoy tan impresionada, porque vi una pareja bailando tango en Mil Pasos. Sí. .. este es el título de la canción.

Mil Pasos está interpretado por Soha, una cantante franco-argelina que se mezclan el jazz con el soul, el blues y latino-americano. Es algo diferente y muy original.

The song's title is Rain Rain and it's played by a Romanian singer, Loredana. She's a kind of diva here and I admire her because, despite her age, she tries to be fashionista, she keeps up with these changeable trends.

I choose the song Wild vor Wut played by Xavier Naidoo and Naturally 7 because it sounds very good, I like the clip and it's one of my friend favorite song. Hello, hello!!

Funny story...today I woke up humming one of the Suede' song, so I decided to share it with you. I guess I'm missing the 90's :-D.

Suede are an English alternative rock band from London, formed in 1989, they still perform but not in the original formula. 

The song that I want to present you is " The Beautiful Ones" and it's the second single of the album Coming Up 1996 and it become a Top ten hit in UK.

Hello my friends!

For today I choose a song recorded in 1989 by the English band The Christians. I know...it's oldie...but as I like to say...goldie :).

This song is the first single from The Christians' second album "Colour", album which reached number one in the UK Album Charts.

The song's name is "Words" and had a great impact in France. It debuted at the bottom of the charts (Top 50) and reached very quickly the first place. "Words" managed to stay in the Top 10 for 11 weeks.

I'm gonna preset you today a Robbie Williams' song...a song that I just love it!

Robbie Williams is a singer, song-writer and occasional actor, an ex-member of Take That band.

The Song of the Day is "Feel" and was the first single of the album Escapology and Intensive Care and it became Williams' biggest international hit, going number one in Italy and Netherlands and reaching the top ten in almost every single European country.

Hope you enjoy a sensitive song, one of the best voice ever and a romantic Robbie Williams, who, by the way, has become a father  for the first time last month.His baby girl's name is Theodora Rose Williams. Congrats!!!

I don't know if you enjoy country music, but today I'm gonna present you a country band called Lady Antebellum, formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2006. The trio is composed of Hillary Scott (lead and background vocals), Charles Kelley (lead and background vocals) and Dave Haywood (background vocals, guitar, piano, mandolin).

The song of the day it is called "Need You Now" and it won the Grammy Award for the Song of the Year, in 2011.

Hello my friends!

I was a little bit busy lately, but now I'm back and having a little free time, I  post The Song of  the Day.

I realize that I didn't post anything in September so I want to begin with the song of the guys from Green Day, called "Wake me up when September ends".

I choose this song, even if it's sad, because I'm in nostalgic mood...I miss summer, with vacation, long and sunny days and feel a little dizzy changing the season.

Every year I have the same feeling, but after September ends, I get used with cloudy & rainy days, with cold mornings and evenings and hot afternoons and with shorter days.

The King of Pop, Michael Jackson would have been 54 today!

So, this post is dedicated to the most successful entertainer of all time, this thing being recognized by the Guinness World Record, to the one who contributed to music, dance and fashion and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.

He was The Artist, having a wonderful voice, dancing skills, originality and a lot of talent. He put his signature on the dance technique "moonwalk" - that presents the illusion of the dancer being pulled backwards, while he is trying to walk forward.
